Prayers For Caleb.

As many of you know we are adopting a sweet little guy, named Caleb Kica. He turned one on August 2. He is full of life, loves to laugh, chase the cat and he is always getting into everything. His nickname here is “little tornado”.

When Caleb was about 6 months old I noticed he had a ridge forming on the top of his head. It has gradually gotten worse and is affecting the shape of the sides of his skull. It seems that he has signs of craniosynotosis. We saw a local doctor who says he needs to have an MRI done. He has given us a referral and we are scheduled to go to the capital on Sunday for his test Monday morning.

We would appreciate your prayers for travel mercies. I have to travel by myself with Caleb and its about a 5.5 hour drive for me and Caleb doesn’t like to be still. Also asking for prayer for quick appointment time. There is no such thing as scheduling an appointment, you just show up and wait your turn. So it could be a long day.

I am believing that God can give us good results and that Caleb will not need surgery. We are trying to find a hospital in the United States that will read his MRI but it seems to be pretty complicated. I am not sure what to do about getting a second opinion.

If you would like to donate to Calebs Medical Expenses or travel expenses we will incur as we travel you may click the give button or send donations to the address below.

Costs we will incur include: $200 for the MRI, $100 for fuel (gas is over 7 dollars per gallon), hotel stay for two nights at $100 each, and food expenses.

If you would like give a one time donation or become a monthly supporter to help us continue our work, click the “give” link above and it will take you to our donations page.
