I was out doing paperwork and moving around town yesterday. I had. no idea that God would show me the fruit of our labour as I moved. I went to make a deposit for rent and this very sweet young girl helped me with my payment. When she asked me who the deposit was being made by I said, Woven2Gether. This girl Winnie then proceeded to introduce herself. I knew her face was familiar but I couldn’t place her. She and I had met more than two and half years earlier at our Crisis Pregnancy Counseling Center. She was a young women facing an unwanted pregnancy. Our counselor and I had sat with Winnie listening to her concerns and fears. Then we softly and slowly spoke truth to her. We taught her about fetal development, God’s love and the value of every life. After seeing that her child was fully developed even before knowing she was pregnant, her heart was softened. She was sure that she would now choose life for her baby.
After she left we had never heard from her again. We had shifted from our old office into a new location that she didn’t know of. So here we stand face to face more than two. years later. She is happy. Winnie explains that she had a beautiful baby girl whom is now two years old. She is a very sweet little girl. Mom just glows with love an pride as she shows me pictures of her little one.
One of the photos she shows me is a photo of the father with their daughter. She continued telling me the story of what happened after she left our Counseling Center that day. She went home and told the father of her baby that no matter what He said or chose to do there was no way she would now end the pregnancy. She was firm that she would now carry the child and give birth and would become a mom. The father immediately stepped up and also decided to walk the road with her and become and father. Today they are very happy. The boyfriend has now went to her family and asked for her hand in marriage and they will be married in December his year. They are walking life together day by day and believing for a great future together.
Then Winnie continued to tell me that after that she is now an advocate for life of the unborn. She posts on her social media the truths of fetal development and the value of all life. She also counsels her friends who are also facing unplanned unwanted pregnancies to choose life for their unborn babies. This was so encouraging. We don’t always get to know the fruit of our labour but sometimes God gives us a peak at what the seeds we have planted have done in the life of the person.
We know that we plant and we can water but it alone is Yehovah who can give the growth. So we give all the glory and praise to the One who sits on the throne.!
We hope you are encourage by the testimony of Yehovah’s faithfulness!
