We had an exciting month of August!
We were so excited to share that we had 5 new clients in August and all of them have kept their babies!! God is so good!!
We want to take this opportunity to let you meet one of our moms. We will call her E for her privacy. She is amazing. She is currently in her 7 month of pregnancy. She is a very precious girl to us. We came into her life when she was so scared about her life and her future. She was a freshmen in school, Senior 1 here in Uganda. She thought abortion was the answer. One of the clinics we partner with referred her and her family to us. We talked long and after our educating the family and hearing their hearts they choose to keep the child. We are all so excited for this little girl to enter the world.
A once scared mom, now stops in after class just to hear her babies heartbeat. Saying, “I can’t wait to be a mom”. God is so good about bringing joy in hard times when we trust Him. We disciple E. every Wednesday. She is learning a lot. We want her to be restored to her Father and to know how loved and valued she is! She is really doing well in the classes.
We also partner with a ministry that offers free sewing and computer classes to women and men in Uganda. There were 230 girls on the waiting list but they offered to get E. in right away. She is currently just about to finish her sewing training. She is amazing and so quick at learning the skill. We want to share some of the photos we have taken of the sewing she has finished this far.
This a photo of E when she first started her sewing class. She was so excited to begin, and we were so happy for her! The ministry blessed her so much by letting her into the class.
This next photo is a proud lady holding up her first sewing creations. She made a pillow case and a computer bag. They were amazing!! She is truly a natural talent at sewing, and her confidence is growing daily.
This lady just shows up all week long just to say hi to us, always with the biggest smile. She makes our day when we see her. We are thankful for the relationship we have grown with E. The next photo you see is her second group of products she has learned to make. They were made as a test to see how they are learning to sew on their own with no instructions.
This week she came in with two more designs. She learned how to make shorts and button down shirts! She did a fantastic job. We are so proud of her.
We are asking that you continue to pray for M and her faith walk. That one day she will run home to the Father. Also pray for her and her babies health during the last trimester of pregnancy. She is tired but still gets up and walks almost 2 miles to sewing class every day one way, 4 miles both ways. Determination at its finest. We are also praying for her to have a safe delivery and fully healthy baby! Thank you for praying for E.
We also ask for you to pray for the other five moms that we met this week. That they will have the courage to continue to carry their babies to term and that God will use this to draw them home. It is a blessing each time we can meet with these moms and speak life over them, which usually brings tears. Sometimes we just need to hear we are valuable.
We also created an informational flyer to share with clinics and pharmacies about life in the womb, in hopes of creating a desire to speak up for the unborn who have no voice while also reaching the heart of their momma. We are getting more referrals all the time so we are thankful for the developing partnerships we are building. Please continue to pray that the pharmacies will continue to refer these vulnerable moms and that will we have wisdom and discernment in how to counsel them and ultimately that they would choose life for themselves and their unborn child. We also ask God to open their hearts to his word so that they may come to know him as a Father and learn their value in His eyes.
Another update is the Consignment store has brought in sales almost every day! We have even had a few people sign up to consign through the store. It is a new concept here so it may take a bit but every day it is going along so we are excited to see what is ahead for the store.
We have started a facebook page for the store where we post new items that we have received on consignment. We are hoping this will be a good tool to help us draw customers and consignors. Our facebook page is Woven2Gether Consignment Store, check us out. We also printed out a business card that we will share around the community to create awareness about our ministry and store.
God is in each step we take and we thank you for being a part of journey. We couldn’t do it without you. Your prayers and donations are what have made it possible for E to have this amazing journey she is on. Your seeds will produce a harvest, if we don’t grow weary in doing good.
We want to thank you for your continued love, prayer and financial support. This is the fruit of the seeds you have planted into our lives and Woven2Gether Ministry.
If you would like pour into what God is doing through us, you may give a one time donation or become a monthly supporter by clicking the “give” link above. This will take you to our donations page where you can choose your donation details.
