Todd’s Update as to why funds are needed is below
I want to say that I have been so blessed to have been able to be united once again in Uganda with my wife and son for the past 9 months. The financial support and prayers of so many have made this possible and it is not taken for granted by our family so I want to say thank you.
We were able to celebrate some special milestones while I was here such as birthdays
for Caleb and myself, our 25th Wedding Anniversary
, opening the secondhand/consignment store to help with sustainability, taking on new clinents at the crisis pregnancy center and making connections in the community for awareness of abortion issues with pharmacies, clinics and government officials.
The month of August allowed me to have some extra quiet time with my back injury. I took advantage of some of this time and looked more into who God is (His characteristics) and the love that He has for those that desire to have an intimate relationship with Him. I am very greatful for this time but this also brought on some extra expenses.
Due to my injury I was unable to fly back when scheduled, which has put us a month behind financially. In addition the injury has also put some unexpected costs into the lengthened medical stay.
Some of the expenses are listed below.
x-ray of back ($15),
… trip to the capital (7 hour trip one way) for 3 days with back adjustments ($45 per day)
… maintenance (tires and battery $500) and fuel (~$6.00 per gallon) for car to travel,
… as well as food for 3 ($30 per day) and lodging (~$55 per night) for 2 nights.
We will also now have to take a second trip to Kampala for two more days so I can get my back adjusted four more times before flying out. I have a buldging disk in my back.
This will double the hotel, gas, and food expenses above.
Our goal is to serve on the mission field together as a family.
Thank you to all who have supported the ministry. We are now seeking support for our family to be able to continue to serve God in Uganda.
Prayers for our family would greatly be appreciated as I will be needing to go back to the states this next week to help financially support our family so we can continue to run the ministry. The last time we were apart for 18 months. We don’t know how long it will be this time either so the goodbyes will be difficult, especially for Caleb because he is old enough now to understand I am leaving. If anyone would like to help support our family, which makes the ministry possible, please follow the link below to our donation page. The link will direct you how on how to donate electronically or where to send a check.
Thank you.
